SCI FI ELECTRO is a collection of eight vinyl records inspired by films created in the 20th century, films like Blade Runner, 2001, THX 1138, Alien, Ghost In The Shell, Matrix, Solaris, The Thing, Terminator, Tron, Akira, Metropolis, Forbidden Planet, Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind, The War of Worlds, Invasion of Body Snatchers and many many more… 

Each record is manufactured in a different color and the cardboard used for the sleeves made in black that will be manufactured only for a limited time, a very nice embossed paper with lines that will be silkscreen printed, folded and glued by hand at our studios.

The artists involved in the first part of this project are Scape One, Sound Synthesis, Kan3da, Nebenprodukt, N-Ter, Transpac and Alek Stark

The numbered limited edition box also includes an extra 7” titled MARIAS KLAGE with two tracks produced by MARISKA NEERMAN in tribute to METROPOLIS. We really love the work of Mariska and we want to start collaborating with her as part of this project, soon we will have more from her for our Electro Transmissions series.

The box also includes a silkscreen printed T-Shirt, a black poster printed in silver and also a very special gift that will be appreciated by all sci-fi freaks! 

ABOUT MUSIC  

The original concept was not to create something based or related to the original soundtracks, we created an alternative electro soundtrack for each film. That is the reason we titled each record with alternative names that means even more for us, because all these works were created not directly from the movies but from our memories and our feelings about all these sci-fi masterworks. 

The music you will find in all these records comes from people who really understand what electro music is. When we started with this project there was only one rule that at the end toke this project to the next level. Each artist created a 15 minutes full track for each side of each vinyl record, each side is divided in “movements”, so you will listen a full side of about 15 minutes with no pauses, no silences between tracks… You will listen these movements in a continuous morphing process where you will find from pure electro tracks to very experimental compositions, sounds and atmospheres.

Create each of these vinyl records was a big effort because we are all used to create four or five tracks to complete an EP but this time I asked them more and in return they sent me something truly unique, something that make us listen electro music in a very different way.

The mastering process was also very different, I had to create a new way to master all these works, each record toke me about four times what I usually need to finish any work, and I am sure all the artists involved in this project faced the same challenge. When we started with this project I never imagined the result… I started to notice that difference each time I was listen a complete side of each record, I literally lose my mind into the sounds they created for each composition, full sides with no silences/pauses between tracks keeps your mind fully focused and if you listen all these records one after other you will have a completely new feeling about how different and special electro music can be when you truly understand the essence of this project.
